Have you forgotten the giant red Letters over plant 1 North !

They proclaimed FRIGIDAIRE for all the world to see!

Many people have no idea how important this Division was.
We came from a strong background of a civilian workforce.
Our parents and fore fathers worked smart and hard.
They had to make a huge difference in helping to deliver this nation from savagery.
They succeeded! Some had to leave for the fighting front.
Some got shot down over France and Germany.
Some of them limped home in aircraft shredded by anti-aircraft fire
and ground-based cannon fire. Some slugged it out on the Pacific Islands.
And there were many who never got to come home again!

At one time we had over 15,000 members. We were the second largest division in the General Motors corporate family!
Lately I am hearing that we had over 24,000 in the work force.
The deal for the North American Free Trade Agreement decimated good jobs
like ours at Frigidaire and from the American working people!

~ ~ ~ Our products had the highest quality in the industry. ~ ~ ~

                        We were scuttled!
